Project description
Endurant Energy provided engineering, procurement, and construction for the all-electric hybrid heat pump system at Hines’ new commercial building extension at 555 Greenwich St.
The first all-electric building in Manhattan utilizes geothermal loops to deliver 40% of the building’s heating and cooling needs through rooftop-sited heat pumps. The remaining load utilizes air source heat pumps. The hybrid system utilizes real time data - ground and air temperature - to ensure that heat pump selection is aligned to maximize energy efficiency and minimize operating costs.
